Messi: To be honest I don't know whether the foul is in the penalty area or not

Leo Messi scores the only goal of the game in the first half as Argentina beat old foes Brazil in a friendly in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking after the game, the Barça captain said “we tried to attack early but we lacked accuracy and they were generating counter attacks. We were much better in the second half.”

“I think this way of defending works well for us. The win takes away some tension. It’s good for the games to come. I felt good at the end. We all ran a lot. That’s what we should do.”

On the penalty, Messi said: “To be honest, I don't know whether that's a penalty or not. I fell down because of inertia. I felt somebody kicked me but I don't know it was in the penalty area or not."

As for Monday’s game with Uruguay in Israel, he added: “If the manger wants me too, then I’ll play.”
