Messi gifts Buffon two beers after the milestone... and the goalkeeper responds!

Legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has recorded a message for Barcelona star Lionel Messi after receiving two Budweiser bottles with the numbers 514 and 515 written on them, corresponding to the two goals the Argentine has scored past him.

This campaign from Budweiser came after Messi broke Pele's all-time record for goals scored at one club with 644, with the company sending 644 beers to the 160 goalkeepers the Barcelona captain has scored against.

One of those was Buffon, who conceded two goals to Messi in the 2017 Champions League group stage.

"These are my little gifts from Lionel Messi," Buffon begins, holding the two Budweiser bottles in his hands.

"They represent goals number 514 and 515 of his career at Barcelona.

"I still remember these two goals because they caused me a lot of suffering as they allowed Barcelona to win 3-0 against us and made for an awful night.

"But I can't deny Lionel's greatness and Barcelona's as well, especially that night at the Camp Nou.

"The only wish I have is that I hope this is the end of my collection.

"Okay, Lionel? Remember, I'm counting on you for it. Two are more than enough!"

It is worth noting, however, that one of Messi's goals is up for debate, as MARCA currently have the Argentine on 643 goals in his career.
