Messi joins the challenge for World Down Syndrome Day

Leo Messi showed his support for World Down Syndrome Day by taking part in an online challenge.

Currently in Madrid ahead of Argentina's friendly against Venezuela, the Barcelona captain shared a post to his 112 million Instagram followers.

The aim is to raise awareness about people suffering from Down syndrome.

The challenge is to upload a photo with a different sock on each foot and tag three friends to continue the viral campaign.

Messi was nominated by Marcelo Tinelli and, in turn, has nominated Luis Suarez, Sergio Agüero and wife Antonella Roccuzzo to take part.
