The Argentine opened the scoring from the penalty spot before finding the net with two impeccable freekicks.
It's the third time Messi has scored two freekicks in one game in his career having done so before against Sevilla in the 2015/16 UEFA Super Cup and Espanyol in December 2018.
Messi is now Barcelona's top scorer in LaLiga Santander this season with eight goals, overtaking Luis Suarez's tally of six.
