Marco Giampaolo suffered another demoralising defeat as AC Milan were completely outclassed by Franck Ribery and Fiorentina.

The hosts trailed at the break thanks to Erick Pulgar's penalty and Mateo Musacchio's dismissal for a poor challenge on the sublime Ribery severely hit Milan's chances of salvaging a result.
Gaetano Castrovilli scored a first Serie A goal to ensure the game was up for Milan and possibly Giampaolo, while a saved Federico Chiesa penalty preceded a deserved goal for Ribery and a Rafael Leao consolation late on.

The referee decides that Musacchio's challenge on Ribery was more dangerous than he origingally thought and the defender receives his marching orders.

Pulgar has the ball in acres of space some 30 yards from goal and he then tries his luck from range, but Donnarumma dives across to push it wide for a corner on the left-hand side.
