AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho was pleased with their 3-0 win against Sampdoria on Sunday.

Jeison Murillo saw red at 0-0 before the floodgates opened as Gini Wijnaldum, Paulo Dybala and Stephan El Shaarawy struck.

“In the first half we felt frustrated at not scoring, considering we created so many chances, and after the red card obviously that made it more difficult for Sampdoria," Mourinho told DAZN.

On Wijnaldum, he also said: “I don't like to talk about individuals, but I am satisfied with his progress and he played really well today. Diego Llorente also did well and that is a performance that really strikes a coach.

“Llorente is the defender who wants the ball the most and plays out from the back in a calm manner."

Mourinho also explained shutting down fans taunting Samp coach Dejan Stankovic with "gypsy" taunts.

"Dejan doesn't need to thank me, I have been insulted many times in so many different ways. I built a protective wall around myself, Deki has done exactly the same. He is a great man, but nonetheless, it isn't good for his family at home.

“I followed my instinct, Deki is my friend and he is untouchable."
