Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs was expected to work alongside Jose Mourinho when he was first appointed but eight-year affair with Rhodri's wife Natasha put paid to that.
The real reason Jose Mourinho wouldn't consider working alongside Ryan Giggs at Manchester United has been revealed - he didn't trust him because of his affair with his brother's wife.
Giggs was expected to join the club's backroom team with Ed Woodward desperate for the Welshman to step in as assistant manager in a crowd-pleasing move.
It was initially suggested Mourinho didn't want to work in the shadow of a legend but according to the Times the exact reason lies a lot closer to home.
The Portuguese claims he just couldn't trust the Welshman after an eight-year affair with his brother Rhodri's wife was exposed.
Giggs, 45, made 672 appearances for the Red Devils from 1990-2014, scoring 114 times.
Mourinho instead brought close friend Rui Faria to the club despite fans longing for a connection with the management team.
In 2015 Giggs finally apologised to his sibling for his affair - four years after bedding his sister-in-law Natasha.
(Giggs' affair with Natasha was made public in 2011)
She decided to go public in 2011 after the Old Trafford icon's controversial attempt to place a gagging order on Big Brother star Imogen Thomas after their six-month affair ended.
Mourinho broke his silence on his departure on Wednesday, saying: “Manchester United has a future without me and I have a future without Manchester United.
“It’s over, that’s me and that’s how I’ve always been. I was always very critical of managers that leave clubs and then they come out and they speak about the details of what happened, who is to blame.
"That’s not me.
“Until I get back to football I feel I have to right to live my normal life.”

principles it is little valued thing💍 to hurt yourself is fine : Mourhinho did that
to hurt others by your own choice willfully when you had the option to do different : swell then and may her thigh rot it takes 2 2 tango 🦖
it may have been an opening for Mourhinho to get his own way you never know trust seems an issue with him, but his standards maybe questionable if he looks in the mirror.
as we all should🇬🇮
class is permanent some think that they are exempt it usually trickles down into all we do and are, it is an eternal price, the way of the dragon.

Mourinho didn't want to be in Giggs shadow. His affair or whatsoever was a lame excuse in as much as I don't support it.

those of u criticizing mourinho don't seem to know that trust is paramount, if he can do that to his sibling then expect the worse when dealing with a stranger, I agree Ryan regrets and had apologized for his wrong doings, but it's easy to say "sorry" but letting go is a lot harder, John Terry for an example was world class but he will forever be remembered for the Wayne bridge saga, footballers are role models to young people and maybe even adult all around the world, charity begins at home they say.. even some managers won't thrust a particular player in action if they don't happen to trust him.

I think Mourihno is a confused n complicated man in nature. If he can back stab his master Van Gal for employment, what can he not do to any one in this world for a cover up? he has lost football ideas because of his large mouth n I think he does not come from a good back ground maybe those parents that ran away from Angola to Portugal for survival are among his parents. So the primitive blood is still flowing in his blood. He never knew that football is not about power but tricks n character the earlier the better he knows that the better for him. He brought mechanical type of football to Manchester united that is not played near any where today.
