Rui Faria has been announced as Qatari side Al Duhail's head coach as Jose Mourinho's right-hand man takes his first step into management.
The Portuguese left Manchester United in the summer after two seasons at Old Trafford and 17 years working with Mourinho.
Faria had since been linked with a variety of jobs and - a month to the day after his mentor's sacking by United - has now been confirmed as the head coach of Al Duhail.
The Qatari Stars League champions said they beat off 'great European offers' from a number of clubs that either wanted him as the main man or to join their coaching staff.
Mourinho is also in Qatar right now working with beIN SPORTS and Faria is due to hold a press conference in the upcoming days.
