Nine out of nine... Is Zidane the king of finals?

Zinedine Zidane is a specialist in finals.

The Frenchman has won 10 trophies as Real Madrid boss, with nine of them coming after a final victory in addition to the 2016/17 LaLiga Santander title won over the course of that season.

His first final as Los Blancos coach came in the Champions League showpiece in 2016 as he defeated Atletico Madrid on penalties in Milan.

A few months later, Real Madrid beat Sevilla 3-2 in the UEFA Super Cup before another trophy arrived with a win over Kashima Antlers in the final of the Club World Cup.

A league title followed later that season before Champions League glory came again, this time in Cardiff in 2017 via a 4-1 triumph over Juventus.

Manchester United were the next victim of Zidane's winning machine in the UEFA Super Cup before Barcelona were beaten over two legs in the 2017 Supercopa de Espana.

Zidane's winning machine then came away from Abu Dhabi having won the Club World Cup final against Gremio.

A third Champions League success in a row came in Kiev at the end of that campaign, with Gareth Bale inspiring Los Blancos to victory over Liverpool.

A few days later, Zidane stepped away from the job.

He returned the following March under clouds of doubt over whether he could succeed again at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

He hasn't failed his task and is a winner again, defeating Atletico in the Supercopa de Espana final in Jeddah on penalties.

Zidane will always be the king of finals.
