Christian Eriksen has no regrets about going public with his wish to leave Tottenham but expressed his disappointment at failing to get a move.
Eriksen admitted in June that he was 'at a place in my career where I might want to try something new' after six years at Spurs.
Despite encouraging his suitors, interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain failed to materialise into a move.
The Danish playmaker, 27, said: 'No it wasn't (wrong) but it is football and you never know what happens in football and many things always come into play.
'I wish I could decide just as in the Football Manager (game) but unfortunately I can't.'

the Mirror reports that Spurs have tried to change Eriksen’s mind, by making him an offer of over a million euros a year

Between Toby and Eriksen, Spurs are potentially losing £120m of transfer fees. Isnt it funny that Levy's hard stance against PL clubs that came for his players finally bites him in the arse.

Eriksen is way better than Coutinho, especially when it comes to dictating the play. Coutinho is more a flair player Eriksen is much more effective.

Wouldn't it make sense to have him sign a contract on higher wages than he's currently earning, but have a minimum fee release clause of something like £30m that becomes active in a year's time? That way Eriksen will get his move next summer, and Spurs will get something out of it. Or am I missing something here?

What's in it for Eriksen? He'd get less money from his next contract. Might as well just stick it out for 4 more months and see what offers flood in.

Eriksen's Madrid unveiling Eriksen: How come Spurs name is on this contract? Levy: I was me, Eriksen. It was me all along.

We'd be stupid to sell him. We finally fill the Dembele hole, and then immediately sell Eriksen to replace him with Lo Celso and end up worse off. The year of Eriksen is better than the money.

Reports from last year said Kanes new contract was 215k base with bonuses attached so he could potentially be making 300-320k a week.

I thought the reports were we offered Eriksen the same wages as Kane. Are those numbers before or after tax? I always thought Kane was on around 150-200k.

You take Eriksen for free and then take Pogba off United's hands and we can help you out getting rid of Dani Ceballos. Guy was awful this weekend. I wouldn't even watch our games tbh.

Eriksen will demand higher wages and he likely won't come to a direct rivals (but if I was given the option of having him, I wouldn't mind)

Not saying he's going to sign anything but he doesn't need to be physically anywhere to have an agreement to transfer to a club so him being with the NT doesn't really mean anything.

He will sign a pre contract in January or maybe he will completely run it down and join Man City or Liverpool. He might even do a Sol Campbell!

If the rumor is true that Real signed Bruno Fernandes then they won't go for Eriksen. I have a feeling he'll end up at Bayern next season.
