Norwich enter race to sign Chelsea midfielder Gallagher (Mail)

Norwich City are the latest club to ask about Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher who is likely to cut short his loan at Charlton Athletic.

Burnley are hopeful of signing the 19-year-old while QPR, West Brom and Swansea City have all asked to take him on loan.

The Clarets want the creative midfielder to replace Danny Drinkwater who signed for Aston Villa.

Gallagher is one of the shining lights in Chelsea's academy; winning the FA Youth Cup in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

And he made a flying start to life at Charlton, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 24 Championship appearances this season.

Charlton are just five points off the bottom three in the second division and it would be a blow to lose Gallagher.
