Nicolas Pepe has got a fear-factor just a few games into his Arsenal career, according to Gunners striker Nwankwo Kanu.
Pepe became the club-record signing this summer after joining from LOSC Lille in a £72million deal.
And Kanu, speaking to Goal, believes opposition defences are 'scared of what he can do' after impressing in his first few games for his new club.
Pepe is blessed with sheer pace and is a threat given he can run with the ball at great speeds, forcing defenders and full-backs into staying deep.
So far this season he has averaged 3.8 dribbles per game in the Premier League which is higher than any other player.
'The league here is totally different from every other league so it takes time for somebody coming in to perform the way they have for their other clubs,' Kanu, who won two Premier League titles as a player at Arsenal, said.
'But I think he will do well for us because now he is getting more game time and I believe he will complement the other two strikers.'
'If you watch him you can see he is a really good footballer and his feet are very quick. He is going to score goals and he is going to play well.
'I believe that teams are already afraid of him after a few games. They are scared of what he can do and what he can offer. He's a very good addition.'
