OFFICIAL: Roma renew contract with 22-year-old attacker Cengiz Under until 2023

Cengiz Under has officially signed a new contract with Roma, which takes him through to 2023.

It comes just hours after Roma announced young midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo had put pen to paper on an extension.

“Every day I’ve felt more in love with this city, this club and these fans. This is a very happy moment for me,” Cengiz told his club’s official Twitter account.

"I want to thank the club for allowing me to achieve my wish and continue playing for AS Roma.”

The attacker moved to the Olimpico from Istanbul Basaksehir in a €14m deal two years ago.

He has gone to score 14 goals and provide 15 assists in 65 appearances for the Lupi, although injuries stifled his impact last season.

The 22-year-old also has 19 senior caps for Turkey, netting six times.

Cengiz had been linked with summer moves to the likes of Everton and Bayern Munich, but he will now spend at least another campaign at Roma.
