As the summer transfer window approaches, Manchester United and Manchester City appear to be keen to sign Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak and Rodrigo Hernandez, respectively.
The Slovenian goalkeeper has recently renewed his contract and Atleti raised his 100 million euro buyout clause to 120m euros, but in the event of David de Gea departing Old Trafford, Oblak is the favourite to replace the Spaniard.
United can meet both his salary demands, as well as his release clause and Los Rojiblancos may struggle to retain his services for another season, with Serie A teams also interest in the shot-stopper.
Meanwhile, De Gea has been underperforming throughout this season and his recent below-par performances have made his future look uncertain.
Atletico Madrid are not capable of financially out-muscling the Red Devils and the only way to keep the 26-year-old may be by impressing him with a long-term project.
Pep wants Rodri
On the blue side of Manchester, Pep Guardiola has already expressed his interest in Rodri and should he attempt to incorporate the midfielder, the Citizens would have to meet his 70m euro release fee.
As MARCA reported a few weeks ago, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen to sign the Spain international.
Rodrigo is currently focused on ending the season with Atleti and come June he may consider his options for the future.

I don't think oblak is stupid enough to go to an interior club like United, no chance of winning anything there. At least at Atletico he CAN(low chance, but much higher than United's ) win the league and have a shot at the Champions League (Utd don't even have that assured, probably won't get one). As far as Rodri is concerned, he just signed last summer, and while at City he will certainly win titles, I don't think he'll leave.

He had 2 loan spells at 2 different clubs this season... Both of which aren't such good teams ... If United could loan him out to an English team wether at PL or Championship he will get better

It's madness going for Oblak when you have 2 great young keepers coming up, Joel Pereira and Dean Henderson I think we should sign someone like Schmeichel who is in his 30's but still a top keeper ( He will come a lot cheaper as well ) and can be the number 1 for couple of seasons Then when he retires we will have Joel and Henderson ready to taker over who are exceptionally great and are our future Oblak is way too expensive and we got other places to fill in like CB, RW, Pogba's and Herrera's replacement....

Don't lose hope, just believe, cause anything can happen in football, and I think you know that Simone has won the La Liga as well in 2013, and you were last year's Europa champions as well as UEFA super Cup champions after defeating Real Madrid, To be honest Atletico have unbelievable players and if they even sell any of them they still somehow manage to find and sign more better players, best of luck from my side, may Atletico achieve wonders πππ

Why will Oblak go from Atleti to United.He isn't that stupid. He knows that United are now a club prone to crisis,a club not respected by its own players (He must have heard about Pogba and Lukaku).Why will he come to United?Why will he play under a manager who does nothing other than try and copy Sir Alex Ferguson?And anyway United have talented young goalkeepers like Henderson,so splashing out so much money on a goalkeeper when you still can't replace Jones and Smalling in defence does not make sense. Oblak should not take this step down.
