Oldham Athletic's players have threatened to strike over unpaid wages.
Players at the League Two club refused to head out to the training pitch on Thursday morning after promises to pay them for September failed to materialise.
They were eventually persuaded to go to the gym and take part in a workout instead.
Dubai-based Moroccan Abdallah Lemsagam completed his protracted takeover of Oldham in Janaury.
They were relegated last season despite an influx of new arrivals, many from abroad.
This summer, a drastic cost-cutting programme saw a number of players and staff depart the club.
Following Tuesday night's 0-0 draw at Mansfield, Oldham lie in eighth place after drawing their last three matches.
Wages should have been paid on Friday of last week.
Oldham declined to comment.

Yes the FA 'Fit and Proper Person' test for prospective new club owners is alive and well?...............rumour has it that a Greenlander is looking to buy out Stocksbridge Steels next?
snobbish

Sadly, the amount owed would likely be less than a premier league player sitting on benches everywhere earns in a week.

The fake sheikh appears to have cash flow problems. The club's being run like a market stall in Marrakech. So sad to see my team like this. Still be there on Saturday....as long as the players turn up. Keep the Faith

Would this not constitute a breach of contract by the club and therefore leave the players free to play elsewhere? Just a thought.
