PSG officially announced Ander Herrera’s permanent switch to Athletic Bilbao, where the  33-year old Spaniard joined on loan at the beginning of the season – his move has allowed Keylor Navas to be loaned to Premier League side Nottingham Forest. The La Liga club paid no transfer fee for the player.

The former Manchester United man leaves the club officially following three seasons in the French capital where he made 95 competitive appearances and won two Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France, one Coupe de la Ligue and two Trophée des Champions.

PSG had to either recall or sell one of eight loanees in order to allow goalkeeper Keylor Navas (36) to move to Nottingham Forest, as FIFA rules dictate that a club cannot loan out any more than eight players over the age of 21 in one season, unless one is sold on or recalled.

He rejoins the club where he played from 2011 to 2014 before joining Premier League side Manchester United. He has made eight La Liga appearances and registered one assists so far.
