NEYMAR has been blasted by former striker Christophe Dugarry for his dire performance for PSG against Liverpool.
Neymar was signed by PSG to fire them to Champions League glory but, so far, the Brazil international is yet to take the big stage by storm.
The 26-year-old has been criticised after failing to sparkle during his side’s 3-2 defeat to Liverpool last night.
Neymar was outshone by Kylian Mbappe, who sparkled for the Ligue 1 giants, and also compatriot Roberto Firmino, who bagged a dramatic late winner for Liverpool.
And Dugarry has now blasted Neymar for his performance at Anfield.
He told RMC Sport: "Neymar's performance has been inadmissible.
“It has been scandalous.
“It even irritates the eyes to see what he has done. Neymar has mocked the world.”
Neymar’s drab performance against Liverpool has raised more questions about his ability to deliver when the heat is on.
It came just months after he endured a frustrating World Cup campaign with Brazil.
And he was outshone by Cristiano Ronaldo when PSG faced Real Madrid in the Champions League knockout stages last season.
Meanwhile, John Barnes has blasted Neymar, labelling him ‘lazy.’
And the Liverpool legend thinks his attitude means he would never be a Jurgen Klopp player.
He told talkSPORT: “It depends who the manager is – not with Jurgen Klopp.
“I saw the interview Klopp gave last night, he spoke about the defensive work of the whole team, meaning the front three as well.
“A lot of people say Neymar is the best in the world, which may suit PSG or Man City or Barcelona.
“But regardless of how good he is, there is no way he would suit Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.
“I was disappointed with Neymar and Mbappe. I thought they were so lazy when they didn’t have the ball, they didn’t help their team at all.
“I thought it would be a game of our front three against their front three, and to a man our players worked their socks off for 90 minutes with and without the ball – it was a fantastic performance by Liverpool.
“PSG aren’t going to pay for it in the French league, where Neymar and Mbappe don’t track back and don’t run around too much and still win comfortably, but that will probably work against PSG in the latter stages of the Champions League.”

You haters go and sleep. It is just one match and you cannot jump into conclusion. This is not final. This is not Paris, it is London. PSG is an away team, not home team you crazy. Shut up you death who don't understand the game of football. Leave Neymar alone. You are just spreading hate. l thought the score was 3 - 0 at An field. But, 3-2 in their home ground. PSG have done well. Stop silly comments people who can't even throw their leg. Did PSG lost at home or away match. Last season when Barcelona lost 4-0 to PSG in the away match, did any body call on Neymar or Messi? ln the return encounter, they were able to beat PSG 6-5 in their home grounds. Learned you stupid haters. Last season, PSG scored B. Munich 3-0 at home. But in the return at Munich the German team beat them. So home grounds counts a lot in this encounter. Stop all these nonsense, this is just the first match of champions league encounter. What about the game had ended draw in Liverpool home ground? You will not hear all these silly talk. Shut up you blind followers.

Tbh I feel terrible for him. It was a bad move from Barca to psg according to me cuz it clearly shows his money minded nature and his ego...but since then all the pressure has been on him. We have to give him a chance...not always are you gonna see him score and people gotta learn to accept that. Stay strong my man. #Ney10

PSG got bailed by Thiago Silva and bad finishing. If Silva wasn't in their back line, it would have been a rugby score like the Roma game. Klopp is right and I can't believe I'm agreeing with him but every player should work hard even if it's just tracking to halfway, Neymar should at least come that back. Its his fault for choosing such a lazy league with a slow tempo to play in. The only team in the league with a high tempo is Lyon and they beat PSG unsurpringly. Look at the difference between Hazard and Neymar. While hazard doesn't have the stats, he does everything for his team; create, score, track back, defend, collect the ball deep, drive through defences and make space for other attackers. Neymar only does half those things but even with his brilliance it's unacceptable, he could sacrifice a few statistics to bail his team out in important situations. That's why Hazard will always be the better player for me. The player with most influence in the game is the one that can do multiple roles at once and effectively with his teammates in mind. Neymar can only do the attacking side of football which is upsetting for a professional who is regarded in the top 5 category. I've probably seen Ronaldo and Messi track back more and they're miles ahead of neymar in attacking.
