According to Foot Mercato, Paris Saint-Germain have told Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s (23) agent that they are willing to offer €120 million to Napoli to buy the Georgian winger out of the remaining three years of his contract at the Southern Italian club.
An eye-watering figure that would be double what L’Équipe have previously reported to be the French champions’ valuation of the left-winger, and a figure that would still be shy of what the former Serie A champions believe Kvaratskhelia is worth.
Despite agreeing on personal terms with PSG, Kvaratskhelia has also been conversing with Napoli over a new contract. The club want to insert a release clause into his deal for around €160 million to protect themselves financially while also providing him with an annual wage of €5 million to try and keep him in the south.
Foot Mercato reports that the Georgian winger wants closer to €6 million per year and would prefer a release clause of €130 million. For now, it seems as if there is still a lot of work to be done before PSG can convince Napoli of a deal.
