As reported by SPORT on Saturday, Paulinho is now a Barcelona player. The club will play €40 million to Guangzhou Evergrande to sign the Brazilian international.
Reports confirming the news, which has still not been announced officially by either club, are coming out in dribs and drabs. The latest is from Brazil, where Globo Esporte, has reported that Paulinho has been given permission by the Chinese club to miss the Guangzhou Evergrande’s league game this Sunday and can travel to Barcelona to finalise the deal.
According to the report, the midfielder will arrive in Barcelona this Sunday and Globo Esporte reports that the official announcement is planned for Monday, the day after the Super Cup game against Real Madrid.
