Benfica are reportedly ready to pull the plug on Mattia Perin’s proposed €15m transfer to Juventus, with Monaco waiting in the wings.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Benfica are only prepared to sign Perin in January so he can fully recover from a shoulder injury.
However, Juve do not intend to renegotiate the terms of his transfer, leading Gazzetta dello Sport to claim the deal is about to break down.
If that happens, the newspaper expects Monaco to possibly swoop in for the 26-year-old.
The former Genoa shot-stopper has been left out of the Bianconeri’s squad for the International Champions Cup.
