Pique & Luis Rubiales's multi-million plot which took Super Cup to Saudi Arabia

Gerard Pique and RFEF chief Luis Rubiales allied to take the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia and earn a multi-million commission for Pique’s company Kosmos. The contract earned 24m euros for Pique’s company as revealed in El Confidential.

Per the media outlet, who had access to audios and documents, the RFEF earn 40m euros for each edition of the Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, while Kosmos take 4m, so 24m total.

It’s important to note that Kosmos don’t get this money direct from the RFEF, which would break ethics code and take Pique over the line in terms of conflict of interest. Saudi Arabia will be taking the Super Cup until 2029.

El Confidential revealed some chats with Pique involved. “Look, Rubi, if they (Madrid) take 8m, bloody hell mate, pay eight to Madrid and eight to Barca, two and one to the others, that’s 19, the federation get six. Before you had nothing, now you get six. And we press Saudi Arabia and maybe we get more, we tell them if not, Madrid’s not going, and we get one or two more.”

On September 2019 Rubiales congratulated Pique. “Geri, well done. I’m not referring to your great game or goal (in the 5-2 win over Valencia), I’m referring to that it’s now more than 12m and the agreement with Saudi Arabia is form. A hug, thanks for everything and I’m here for whatever you need me for.”
