'Playboy' Man Utd star gave out tickets to girls in town for team's Christmas do

Dwight Yorke's appetite for the opposite sex saw him invite random women to Manchester United's Christmas party, according to a former teammate.

Yorke was prolific on the pitch during his four years at Old Trafford, which included the famous treble-winning season of 1998/99. He also scored off the pitch too and had a relationship with model Katie Price, back then known as Jordan, with the pair having a child, Harvey, together.

While Yorke was one of the big names at Man United, who have a rich heritage of bringing young players through, there were also a number inexperienced naïve players, including forward Daniel Nardiello.

He has recalled life as Yorke's teammate during an edition of the popular Undr The Cosh podcast, which included an innovative way to increase the number of attractive females at the club's festive shindig.

“Yorkie was just a playboy. I remember the first Christmas do I ever went to, apparently, he was just in Manchester a week or two before handing out tickets to all the girls in Selfridges.

“So we've turned up to this Christmas party, it was our first one at 18 years old, so we're allowed to get p***ed, and you've walked in as an 18 year old lad.

“I come from a small town in the midlands, and you're just looking around, and just women everywhere that Yorkie's handed tickets to. Gorgeous women and you're just like, oh my word.

“So it's all the United players and staff and then just tens and tens of girls Yorkie's invited, and that was just his lifestyle. Then he used to come in and tell us stories about some of the girls he'd… his conquests. He was great once you got to know him, Yorke.”
