Pochettino soaks up the sunshine as Tottenham boss takes time out with family

Mauricio Pochettino has taken a break from the speculation surrounding his own future and that of some of his star players as he headed for Spanish sunshine with his family.

Pochettino has endured a whirlwind campaign in north London as his Tottenham side moved into their new stadium nine months late and managed to reach the final of the Champions League without Harry Kane.

This summer is widely expected to be one of real change in north London - with Pochettino himself still the subject of uncertainty surrounding his long-term future at the club - but he put all talk of football aside to spend some quality time with his family.

Pochettino was pictured with his wife Karina and his two sons - including Spurs development squad player Maurizio - as they headed to the beach on the Balearic island of Formentera.

Formentera is the smallest of the Belearic isles and is accessible by ferry from its more well-known and crowded sister, Ibiza.

Pochettino's son Maurizio, 18, joined Tottenham in 2017 from Southampton with his father, and the winger currently plays for John McDermott's Under 18 side.

Mauricio's other son, Sebastiano, 22, is also involved in the set-up at Tottenham, working as a sports scientist with the first team.

Tottenham face the prospect of losing Christian Eriksen this summer after he declared he wanted to 'try something new' to a Danish newspaper.

Pochettino has been linked with several replacements, most notably Giovani Lo Celso of Real Betis, who is currently with the Argentina squad in Brazil for the Copa America.

Another midfielder target, Tanguy Ndombele, opened the door to a move to the beaten Champions League finalists in an interview earlier this week.

'Yes, it's true that Tottenham is a great team, it's a big club,' he told French outlet Telefoot.

'They finished fourth in their league, they're finalist in the Champions League.

'It's still a big club like any other. Which player would not be interested in a big club?'
