Mauricio Pochettino's son was named on Tottenham's UEFA Youth League bench for the first time as they lost to Inter Milan on Wednesday.
Maurizio Pochettino remained an unused sub as Spurs lost 4-2 to their Italian counterparts at their training ground, but it is an important step for the manager's youngest son.
Despite leading 2-1 at half-time, Spurs' youngsters spurned a number of good opportunities before the break and ended up throwing away their lead.
The 17-year-old is described as a 'wide player with an eye for goal' by Spurs' website and has featured four times in the U18 Premier League this campaign, scoring his first goal of the season in a clash with Norwich last month.
Maurizio was offered a scholarship at Spurs' academy, starting in the summer of 2017 and was named as one of the U21 players in the Premier League squad at the beginning of the year.
Despite being the manager's son, Maurizio's profile on Spurs' official club website plays down any link.
Pochettino senior's career saw him play for Espanyol and PSG, before managing the Spanish side and Southampton.
That path is charted in his son's bio, with no reference as to why he is so well travelled, it simply reads: 'he was born in Barcelona and has since lived in Paris and Southampton.'
Pochettino's other son, Sebastiano, is also involved at Spurs. He is the first-team's sports scientist, having originally been employed as a sports scientist assistant.
Sebastiano is heavily involved with the first-team and at 23, he is the youngest to hold that position in the Premier League.
