In their most recent update, the CIES have declared that the value of football transfers will drop by 28 per cent in the summer window due to the coronavirus crisis.
The case for each player varies according to their age, the length of their contract, their professional career and their recent performances.
CIES has used the example of Paul Pogba. The Manchester United midfielder is currently valued at 65 million euros but that will go down to 35 million euros in the summer.
In Europe's top 5 leagues, this drop in price will affect Marseille most. There will be a 38 per cent loss in the value of their players.
In Spain, Real Betis will be most impacted team, with their players losing 33 per cent of their value.
