Matteo Politano has admitted that Inter’s style of play under Antonio Conte “makes my characteristics stand out less.”
Politano was a regular performer out wide in Luciano Spalletti’s 4-3-3 formation for Inter last season, but Conte has since installed a 3-5-2 with wingbacks and two strikers – neither position being a natural fit for the 26-year-old.
“Results are on our side: we must continue on this path,” he told DAZN.
“Compared to last season, where I always played as a starter, I’ve started less from the outset, but the new system makes my characteristics stand out less.
“I must make sure I’m ready for when the Coach calls me. Conte’s good at making everyone feel important and at the same level: it depends on us if we play.
“I have a good relationship with him, he’s direct and he says things as it is.”
The former Sassuolo winger then commented on Alexis Sanchez’s three-month injury layoff.
“It’s disappointing when you lose an important teammate for months and it can weigh on you in a numerical sense.
“But we have some good lads playing in the Primavera squad. We’re calm.”

He's very strict with the players, that's why Chelsea players used to hate him

Conte is a good coach, but sometimes his decision is strange

No way is this happening. Though I've seen some romours that Conte is not a fan of Politano, which worries me, he was one of our best players last season

Because Atalanta doesn't need to sell him but he is worth less than 30M he benefited from Gasperini's game but he aint good for the game of top tier team.

Honestly I would take Politano. He was Inter's best attacking player last season, and would cover our need for a RW to stretch play. Besides it would allow us to buy Ben Yedder as the replacement, and focus on a CM and CB.

Not a chance lol, that's an 80 million offer, we would have just sold Politano for the 20 that he is worth and gave it to united

wonder if Man U wouldve taken it for big rom lol Honestly I would take Politano. He was Inter's best attacking player last season, and would cover our need for a RW to stretch play. Besides it would allow us to buy Ben Yedder as the replacement, and focus on a CM and CB. in cash, not Politano

I doubt that Zapata is worth that much, even after last season.

Come on Inter, you know your boy Tony C wants Big Rom. Don't disappoint him or he might just walk out on you.

Surely even just 45 mil would be enough for Zapata lol no. Because Atalanta doesn't need to sell him but he is worth less than 30M he benefited from Gasperini's game but he aint good for the game of top tier team. should be 60 with no player enough mby

Conte will be a certified genius if he manages to take the title in his first season with Inter. I’m rooting for them
