The lovable right-back confirmed that he will depart The Rekordmeister next summer.

Rafinha, who holds Brazilian and German passports, came to Munich from Genoa for 5.5 million euros in the summer of 2011. At the end of this season, however, his contract will expire and it is a very possible outcome that a new one won’t be signed. There is a possibility of a return to Brazil, but he has not yet had talks with other clubs out of respect for Bayern. Instead, he promises to “savor the last six months.”

After Arjen Robben, he is the second player to announce his departure from Bayern Munich. and Bild gives us insight in his interview with “SporTV.” Rafinha stated:

My cycle at Bayern is coming to an end. There are many things that can happen in the next six months, but I think it’s my last year.

The fact is that Rafinha is fit and regularly trains with a personal coach in Grünwald, so he is definitely an interesting name for the other teams in the Bundesliga. Rafinha would likely prefer a club near Munich, but a new contract with Bayern is as good as impossible.

With FC Bayern, Rafinha became Champions League winner, winning six championships, the club’s World Cup and three times the DFB Cup. Maybe there will be another title in his last season.
