Mbappe rejects new PSG deal

As per RMC Sport, Kylian Mbappe has rejected a contract extension at Paris Saint Germain, and will look to run his current deal down, which has 12 months left, and join Real Madrid on a free next summer.

The new proposal, which was for five years with an option for a further year, included a pay rise but would have still left him as the third highest earner at the club, behind Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Mbappe has been Real Madrid’s number one target all summer, although no actual move has been made. Instead, RMC report that an unnamed English side have made a bid for the generational forward, who has his sights set on a dream move to the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid “expected to make a late bid”

As per the Daily Mail, Real Madrid are expected to test Paris Saint Germain’s resolve with a bid late in the window for the Frenchman, with the Parisians “increasingly likely” to part ways with Mbappe this summer instead of losing him for free in 12 months.

The Spanish side, who have sold Raphael Varane and Martin Odegaard this summer to raise funds to sign Mbappe, are “expected to make a late bid” as the transfer window nears its conclusion, meaning that fans may never see Neymar, Mbappe and Messi all lining up alongside one another.

Should Mbappe be treating PSG with more respect?
