The Spanish side previously lost by the same score-line on the road in mid-week against Girona.
The Frenchman opened the scoring just five minutes in before netting the next two within the first half.
But Almeria refused to be unbowed going into the break and Lazaro swiped their opener one minute into added time before the half-time whistle.
As play restarted Rodrygo looked to join in on his team-mate's fun, and a quick change from Almeria paid dividends as Lucas Robertone came on in the 57th minute and scored just four minutes later.
Adding to the frantic nature of the match, Rodrygo had a second goal chalked off by VAR, and technology intervened once again to rule out a penalty for Los Blancos after Benzema was seen to foul Rodrigo Ely in the build up.
Minutes before the final whistle, Eduardo Camavinga looked to get on the scoresheet, but his header was quickly ruled out for offside.
