Real Madrid deny that Hazard's transfer cost 160m euros

Following reports from Belgium that have claimed Eden Hazard's 2019 transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid could cost as much as 160 million euros, the Spanish club have denied that this is the case.

Hazard's move from Chelsea was said, at the time, to be worth around 100m euros and Los Blancos maintain that this is the case.

This goes against the reports published by Het Laatste Nieuws and La Derniere Heure, which claim that Real Madrid's total payments for the forward could end up being 40m euros in 2019, 56m euros in 2020 and 64m euros in 2021.

This is what the Belgian publications are reporting, a story which stems from an alleged fraud case involving the player's former club Tubize and information on the training compensation received for his latest transfer.
