Luka Modric and Kylian Mbappe's careers, two of the best players at the World Cup, may not cross paths if both move on in the coming months.
Inter Milan are insisting on the signing of Modric from Real Madrid. Until now Florentino Perez has shut the door on a deal but he also knows that a replacement is needed for Cristiano Ronaldo as soon as possible.
With Inter's pressure, Modric could go for free when his deal expires in 2020 or if the Italian club pay a big sum next summer -- his release clause is 750 million euros.
However, the need to sign is and Perez's obsession with Paris Saint-Germain's Mbappe could facilitate Modric's exit, according to 'Il Corriere dello Sport'.
Real Madrid want a new star forward in their side and the France international is their top target. The best on the World Cup's best young player is a priority.

I feel as if this might be like what happened to pogba... where he was at a club doing great but wanted more fame and glory...then his career was trashed...hopefully the right decisions are made and mbappe will become one of the best...best of luck to him and his career. Real Madrid also need a revive talent wise and this could be the trick. However losing a possible ballondor winner could also be costly. Hope it all works out.... And Forca Barca!
