Luka Modric is in line to return to the Real Madrid starting eleven ahead of their Champions League semi-final first leg against Manchester City.

The Spanish side come into the game after defeating Osasuna 2-1 in the Copa del Rey final - with Rodrygo netting twice for Los Blancos.

As for City, Pep Guardiola's side come into the game off the back of a 2-1 win at home to Leeds United - with Ilkay Gundogan scoring twice.

Carlo Ancelotti recently confirmed that Modric will be fit to face City. The midfielder has missed the last few games due to a hamstring injury. However, the Croatian came off the bench and played the last eight minutes in their last game against Osasuna.

In defence, Ferland Mendy remains unavailable due to injury, while Eder Militao will miss tonight's game due to suspension.

In Militao's absence, former Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is set to partner David Alaba in central defence.

Eduardo Camavinga will most likely start at left-back once again for Los Blancos while Mendy recovers from his injury.

As for City, the English side are set to be without Nathan Ake. The defender was forced off against Leeds United with a calf problem.

Manuel Akanji could operate on the left-hand side of the defence and feature alongside Kyle Walker and Ruben Dias.

John Stones, Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish were all rested in City's last game and are expected to return to the starting eleven.

After scoring twice against Leeds, Gundogan looks set to start in midfield with Kevin De Bruyne.

Erling Haaland will once again lead the line for Guardiola's side, with Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva in contention to start out wide.

The clash between the two sides will take place this evening at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the game kicking off at 8pm.
