Barcelona's stars don't like coming across Jesus Gil Manzano. The referee dismissed Lionel Messi during Sunday's Supercopa de Espana final, making the Argentine the latest Blaugrana player he has sent off.
Messi followed in both Neymar and Luis Suarez's footsteps in being sent off by Gil Manzano, meaning the official has given each of the MSN trio their marching orders.
Messi: Supercopa de Espana final vs Athletic Club, 2021
His sending off of the Argentine came late in extra time on Sunday, and with the help of VAR. Nothing was called in play, and he had to consult the pitchside monitor to make the decision. It was the first red card Messi has received in an official match for Barcelona.
Neymar: LaLiga Santander vs Malaga, 2016/17
Against Malaga in 2016/17, Neymar was sent off after losing his temper up against Diego Llorente.
Suarez: Copa del Rey vs Atletico Madrid, 2016/17
Suarez's dismissal was more controversial. He showed the Uruguayan his first yellow card in the 86th minute for a foul on Juanfran Torres, which was protested by the No.9. Three minutes later, he left an arm on Koke in an aerial duel that saw him sent off, meaning he missed the final.

You can't really fault the referee. Been a Messi fan it hurts me to admit that Messi was deserving of that red card.
