Alessio Romagnoli is a certainty of AC Milan, one of the few players that Marco Giampaolo and Stefano Pioli have never given up on. He's not only the captain, but also the most used player of the Rossoneri season.
The defender, who grew up in Rome, has taken the field 25 out of 26 times without skipping a minute. 2250 minutes out of 2250, a pillar of Milan, who has changed his centre-back partner several times (Duarte, Musacchio, Kjaer and Gabbia).
It's been a season of light and shadow, in which Romagnoli has been one of the most positive players. His name is on the long list of Mancini, who between now and May will have to choose two between Romagnoli, Acerbi and Chiellini for Italy's Euros squad.
The former Sampdoria man is hopeful, aware that he will have to manage a strong finale to the season. His mind is currently only focused on the pitch, also knowing that it will be time to discuss his future in the summer.
As Calciomercato.com continues, his contract will expire in 2022, meaning there is plenty of time to discuss the different projects. Milan have always said no to Romagnoli's offers and at the moment, there are no signs of a change on this front.
However, the summer is long and a change at the helm of the technical project (Ralf Rangnick has been heavily linked with Milan) could reshuffle the cards.

Heβs not average... heβs the best young defender in Italy for some years now... none has been as consistent as he has been... Learn to appreciate what youβve got

Our captain is average player to me. Him and most of them. I have only two worlds class players in my team. Don't ask me, you know them πππ

Milan have good players with potential like Paqueta and Leao and Bennacer and Gabbia also have desent GK like Donnarumma with the man on fire Theo alongside the lion Ibrhimovic we don't forget about Rebic who's on loan for now so what we need is two midfielders one with experience like Modric and another with potential like Tonali and RB instead of Calabria and Conti which both of them can't kept thier form for more than one or two matches and also experience CB like T. Silva because he will be good for Romagnoli and Gabbia development and maybe average striker to be back-up for either Ibrhimovic or Rebic just in case π
