LIONEL MESSI leaned in to smooch wife Antonela in front of the Eiffel Tower as the couple enjoyed a romantic evening in Paris.

The Argentinian forward looked snug in a long coat and turtleneck sweater for the posh date night.

And Antonela coordinated with her hubby in a black dress and heels as they relaxed at the luxury Shangri-La hotel.

Mrs Messi shared the images on her Instagram account along with a video clip showing off their fine dining experience.

The married couple have been getting to know their new surroundings after upping sticks from Barcelona over the summer.

Messi famously joined Paris Saint-Germain after former club Barca were unable to sign their talisman up to a new contract.

The 34-year-old joined the Spanish giants’ storied La Masia academy all the way back in the year 2000.

But financial turmoil at the Nou Camp meant the club could not afford to offer the six-time Ballon d’Or winner a new deal - even though he wanted to stay.

The romantic photos come as a new book alleges Messi was ‘difficult to work with’ during his time in Catalonia.

The book ‘Unsinkable Messi’ also claims the former club captain would sulk if he did not start every Barca game.
