Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa uses Cristiano Ronaldo as more of an inspiration than Lionel Messi.
Still only 21 years old, the son of Enrico Chiesa has already put together over 100 competitive appearances in the Viola jersey, along with 11 senior Italy caps.
“For two or three years, I really struggled to get any playing time, as my physique wasn’t as well-developed as others my age,” Chiesa told Undici magazine.
“When you are 14 or 15 years old, it feels like this desperate disappointment. I thought many times about giving up, but my family always believed and ultimately so did I.
“When I wasn’t playing, I’d try to think: I’ll play the next one. Working hard in training really paid off, it’s the push that got me to Serie A and now has me trying to improve week by week.
“It’s the same attitude as Cristiano Ronaldo. He doesn’t have the talent of Messi, but has won the same number of Ballon d’Or trophies.
“An exemplary professional like him proves if you want to reach the top and stay there, focusing on every tiny detail is crucial.”

I don't compare Ronaldo and Messi, Ronaldo does not play with the best unlike Messi who plays with the best at Barcelona. When will people ever accept this truth that Messi is not a world class player. Deny it or not Messi is the best player in Spain, Ronaldo won awards in Spain, in England, in Portugal, in Italy now. In Messi's territory Ronaldo still won awards. Play Messi outside the camp nou he's a joke compared to Ronaldo. Am not saying Messi is not a good player, he's a talented player but you can't rate a naturally talented player with a hard worker. Ronaldo worked hard and works hard to be were he is, Messi just woke up one day and realized he is a born football player and just started training. Messi has it in him to play football, Ronaldo developed it, natured it and grew it. Come on he can play for any club because he works up every morning and tries to fit in everywhere he goes but Messi has no stress because he knows the only challenge is within he's circles. Ronaldo doesn't limit himself, he tests himself, plays with the best and the list and he still the same Ronaldo.

Some people tend to get it wrong when they claim Messi is more talented than CR7. There's nothing Messi can do CR7 cannot. only CR7 has what Messi cannot have. Messi's game is one-sided and plays mostly with a single leg. CR7 plays with every part of his body. That's why Messi has not been able to win anything outside the Barcelona team

Being a professional footballer player, I find Cristiano Ronaldo as a more of a complete player than messi. You can't learn messi dribbling as he is a great dribbler, but you can't even learn something from this captaincy, Which is too poor. Barcelona is more of a team.
