Cristiano Ronaldo has won the 18th edition of the Golden Foot Award, beating Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski and Mohamed Salah.
The trophy is voted for by the general public from a shortlist of 10 players every year.
Juventus star Ronaldo garnered more votes for 2020 than Messi, Lewandowski, his Bianconeri teammate Giorgio Chiellini, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, Sergio Aguero, Gerard Pique, Salah and Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal.
It was a Juventus Double in this tournament, as President Andrea Agnelli was also given the first edition of the Golden Foot Prestige, chosen by a commission of international media figures.
The Golden Foot winner also gets to have a cast of his foot laid down in the Champions Promenade in Monaco.

The Golden Foot award is awarded every year to a footballer with a great personality and it can only be won once by each player. The player who gets the most votes will win the annual award and the past winners will not be nominated for the golden foot award in any future years to give space for a different player to win. People are saying "Lewandowski deserves it!" but this award is for the best personality, not best player of the year. Edinson Cavani has won the golden foot award too. Was he the best player in the world in any year like Lewandowski was in 2020? I don't think so, not even top 10 to be more precise. I hope people understand it now. Speaking of personality, Ronaldo has been one of the leading personalities in the world for a long time, so it's only fitting that he finally won this award at some stage in his career, be it in his mid-30s.
