Football fans have been left in stitches by Bukayo Saka's TikTok spelling bees with the Arsenal ace vying to keep team morale high in the England camp.
Saka, 21, has been one of England's brightest stars at the 2022 World Cup, rattling in three goals in three matches, to help set up a bumper quarter-final clash against reigning champions France. The silky winger added gloss to the Three Lions' Round of 16 victory with a deft dink over Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy to round off an impressive 3-0 win.
Known for his humble nature, Saka was filmed politely asking for a photo with David Beckham when the former England captain visited their Qatar training camp and he even apologised to boss Gareth Southgate for interrupting the conversation.
And it's that exact heart-warming temperament which has seen his TikTok spelling bees soar on social media. Throughout his time in the Middle East, Saka has been testing his team-mates linguistic knowledge by asking them to spell out complicated or tricky terms.
First asking James Maddison to spell out aesthetic, the Leicester City midfielder gives an answer of A-E-S-T-E-T-H-I-C to which Saka gleefully shouts "WRONG".
The 21-year-old then proceeds to quiz "Mr Grealish" on the spelling of rhythm with the Manchester City wizard harking back R-H-Y-M-T-H.
With Declan Rice and Marcus Rashford also taking on the challenge, Saka is yet to find a successful contestant but that hasn't stopped England fans from getting behind the spelling series, which has taken social media by storm.
"The content we never knew we needed," commented one supportive Three Lions supporter. "Mr Grealish took me out," harked a second. "Saka being so funny and so lovely," posted a third.
While a fourth agreed: "Hahah the side to Saka we haven't seen yet." However, Declan Rice took issue in the comments section stating "[I] didn't even get a chance to redeem myself!"
