Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has revealed that his former manager Jose Mourinho praised him when they met earlier in the season.
Salah has enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign at Liverpool and finished as the top scorer in the Premier League with 32 goals, while he has found the net 44 times in all competitions.
Mourinho didn't give Salah many opportunities to impress at Chelsea, but the Portuguese coach, now in charge of Manchester United, only had positive words to say about his former player.
Salah told Egypt Today: 'I did meet him twice – in our match here at Anfield [Liverpool vs Manchester United] and in the other match in Manchester.
'He told me that he is happy with what I am doing. So, I thanked him. We didn't talk much; I just said 'hi' to him and he told me that he was happy for me.'
Salah joined Chelsea from Basel in 2014 but was restricted to just 13 Premier League appearances for the club as he was loaned out firstly to Fiorentina and then to Roma, eventually joining the latter on a permanent basis.
As reported by goal, Mourinho said in July 2015: 'He doesn't belong to my squad and he's not staying here.
'The important thing is that he plays like he did at Fiorentina, so [I'm] happy with him going on a loan.
'Italian football is difficult football to play, especially for attacking players. So if it's not Fiorentina it's Roma or Inter or Juve - I don't know. Maybe he has a loan.
'He's a good boy and a good player. He needs more top-level football so I'm happy with any decision him and the club make.'
This has been an incredible season for Salah, who has impressed with his consistent performances and clinical nature in front of goal.
Liverpool have one game remaining this campaign - the Champions League final against Real Madrid on May 26 - and if Salah was to help his side win the famous trophy then it would be a fitting way to cap off his remarkable campaign.
At the age of 25, Salah still has time on his side to improve even further and he will also hope to make a major impact for Egypt at the World Cup this summer.

Chelsea as a football club has more players in loan than another English club. There players are all over Europe on loan. Only 11 players can play at a time and some of these loaned players are going to be stars and well established in the nearest future. Does it mean that we would continue to blame Mourinho who was involved with a club like Chelsea with such development and business strategy? I think Mourinho and Chelsea board deserve some respect and credit not these insults by ill-informed fans.

Even Sallah does not have any bad feelings about Mouriho and so fans should tred gently before passing blames!
You will never see Salah criticize Mourinho or even Kelvin De bruyne but these Liverpool or City Fans are always showing their hatred. If people are always talking about you were good or bad that means you are doing something better than them and that is what makes Mou so special among fans all over the world because they like Mou matter.

Did you finish reading at all....Mouriho said he Sallah needed exposure and more playing time and also described teams he could fit in! And Sallah did as adviced and became what he is today .Period!
tell them bro some people here read without understanding because all they want to do Is show their hatred for Mourinho. If Mourinho did not being Salah to Chelsea in the first place there would never have been this Salah they are celebrating today because those years were part of his formative years including spells with Fiorentina and Roma and eventually Klop bought a more prepared player and moulded the team around him. People are just quick to fault Mourinho and that is why he is the greatest of them all.

When Pep became Barcelona Head Coach he forced Eto out of his squad for his reasons as the head coach and the same Ego was swapped plus cash for Ibrahimovaich and what happened? Eto won the Trebble with Mou at Inter while Ibra only won the League before he eventually the later eventually left for PSG. My point, every coach has his demands and any player who is not giving it the way the manager wants will be surplus to requirement. Like Mourinho pointed out last time in one of his press conference when the issue of Salah was raised, he made it clear that football managers are human beings and are not magicians or soothsayers. There are players you would consider very talented and future stars and they eventually flopped while some you don't have that belief on will go on to be stars. I also believe that if Salah was that good to force his ways into Jose Mourinho's dominant and title winning team in that year, the Chelsea board wouldn't have sanctioned a loan for him. So all these hate speech against Mourinho is not necessary unless you guys have something personal against Mou. At the end of the day only 11 players will play and 3 substitutes. Coaches bench even world class players and sell some for no reason so why would anyone kill Mourinho?
Ask Them Bro?? I also Wonder Y These Pple Hate Mourinho. Mourinho Won Titles Wth Chelsea without Salah So Y Blaming Mourinho? Salah by Then Wz a Flop. Mourinho's Chelsea Ddnt Suffer Cz Salah Wz Sold. He Won Titles Wth The Squad He Opted to Remain Wth So Y Blame Mourinho Now? Aaaaa. It's Showing Here That U Pple, U Hate 1 of The Successful Manager's in The Premier League Mourinho.

One question for you, can Erickson as good as he is right now bench Kross, Modric or Isco at Madrid if Madrid were to buy ? There are players that no matter how good they are can hardly force their ways into other bigger teams. Chelsea of 04/05 had players that Salah of 04/05 couldn't have benched.
Am not saying he was good then, am saying he would never develop to become how he is now. Because Mourinho's style does not suit him. Only coaches playing attacking football could have helped his development

You are wrong, am not criticizing him, am just saying what is obvious. If Jose had kept him, he would never be the level he is today, that's true because Jose's style and Klopp's are way different and it's this style that suits Salah

You read the article with one thing in mind " Attack Mourinho". You should be grateful first to Mou for spotting his potential and also giving him the opportunity to come to England. He was loaned because Salah at that time is not the Salah you see at Liverpool. Klop has done a good job with him after he has been spotted and developed by so many other coaches and he is still developing so stop criticizing anyone.

Mourinho can obviously see his potential. He is probably already planning his next plot to purchase the Egyptian golden striker. This is the first approach we are seeing and believe me i know Mourinho is out to make more. liverpool don't even think about such things we like MOSALAH in liverpool and he is there to stay. We expect the best of him for at least 5 more years to come. Though BIG thanks for the complement @MOURINHO

I think Mourinho was right to let Salah go because he needed to grow to the player he is now. Same as Martial unfortunately he needs game time but with the demands and expectations he can't be in the starting eleven just yet so he needs to go somewhere he can get enough minutes to develop. Whether its a loan move or a permanent one its up to the club and player I think.
