Mohamed Salah has been told that this summer is the “perfect time” to quit Liverpool amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
The Egyptian forward has been linked with a move away from Anfield in the past year. It is understood that clubs in the Saudi Pro League are particularly interested.
Liverpool rejected a £200m bid for Salah’s services earlier this season. But they are now running out of chances to earn a big fee for his signature, particularly with just over a year left on his contract.
Salah will also be playing under a new manager next season after Jurgen Klopp’s bombshell exit announcement. That has led former Red Jose Enrique to believe that now is the time for Salah to bid farewell to Anfield.
Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, the Spaniard said: “If the right offer comes then I think Salah will leave because I think he was actually trying to leave last summer. They were offered something like £200 million for him last summer and that was a real offer!
“When you get an offer like that, usually it means there is already an agreement between the player and the club. I think Salah had already agreed to go and I believe that he will finally go to Saudi Arabia this summer.
“Jurgen Klopp is leaving so it is the perfect time for Salah to go. There is a new cycle happening at Liverpool and lots of changes, so it is perfect for him. This will likely be the final big contract of his career, so I think he’ll leave for Saudi Arabia.”
Salah has become an iconic player at Anfield since his arrival from Italian side Roma. He has scored 209 goals for the club - 23 of which have come this season.
His sensational goalscoring has helped Liverpool to win the Premier League and Champions League. Should he leave, Enrique already has a few potential replacements in mind - including a couple of Premier League stars.
He added: “Mohammed Kudus is someone that I think could be a replacement for Salah. “Even last summer I would have said that and now of course he is playing really well for West Ham. You could also throw in someone like Ebere Eze from Crystal Palace, but there aren’t really any obvious replacements out there.
“Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich is a possibility because he is in a bit of situation with his contract there at the moment. He is the kind of name that they need to bring in and he could be an option.”

When Klopp leave, its the end of an amazing great era. Liverpool FC will not be the same, they will drop and go down to being only suitable play for Europa Cup. Liverpool FC needs atleast 5-6 years to rebuild and start competing at higher level again. We’re talking about 2030 when a good manager and good owners of Liverpool come.

Just wait and see. For the squad Liverpool have they are certainly overachieved due to Klopp. If you lose that coach and your best player it will happen certainly. Just wait and see.

It is common to hear that if someone leaves Liverpool there be talk that Liverpool will not qualify for this and that. Coutinho left every one said that but Liverpool continued their good run. Mane and Firmino left still Liverpool made it. Life certainly will go on for Liverpool FC.
