Alexis Sanchez was put to the sword by a pack of teasing children in Chile as he paid them a surprise visit on Friday.
The out-of-sorts Manchester United star flew out to Santiago earlier this month to have treatment with Chile's national team medical staff on a hamstring injury.
Sanchez has been working hard to recover from the injury but took some time out this week to get in the festive mood by delivering presents to underprivileged kids at the My Friends Foundation in Penaflor before giving a lecture on smoking and drinking.
The Chile star advised the youngsters to abstain from the bad habits and used himself as an example of how living a smoke-and-drink-free life helped him achieve his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
Sanchez told the children: 'Don't smoke, don't drink. I didn't smoke or drink.' One of the Chilean kids responded in a deadpan voice: 'And what about Arturo [Vidal]?'
The 29-year-old has been the poster boy for Chile football over the past few years but it seems as if, at least certainly to one of the kids, that he has been usurped by Arturo Vidal, having struggled for form since joining United in January.

That's commendable! But your on-the-pitch performance has turned some United fans to smokers and drunks
