Rabiot is a great midfielder. A no 8 primarily also capable of playing the no 6 (holding midfield role). He'll be a big hit for barca, owing to the ageing midfielders are tge clubs starters. As such, he's one for the future.

barcelona don't need rabiot, Undoubted starters for Barcelona presently are Arthur, rakitic and Busquets. We also have Vidal, Roberto, alena, Rafinha, denis on the beach. It would be foolish to sign another mid fielder. Surely he would not be a starter for us.. Argument 1: He is coming for free, so why not give him a shot? To be precise he is not gonna come for free, we would have to give him a lot of signing bonus and he would add to our already huge wage bill. I always feel having have 2 good backup(Vidal, Roberto) and 1–2 la masia graduates(alena, Puig)as reserves is more than sufficient, thus we don't need him Argument 2: He is young and could develop into a better mid fielder? No, not all players can adopt to Barcelona style of play and our philosophy. Best example are Andre Gomes and alcacer. We all know how rakitic is a great player but a misfit at Barcelona. I think he could turn out to be another rakitic Most important of all, signing him would mean the departure of alena. Alena has been working hard for his spot and has displaced Denis in the preference list. He is a great asset to our midfield. He knows what it takes to succeed at Barca and has the Barca DNA which rabiot doesn't.

Having Rabior in Barcelona is a good thing taking everything into consideration 1.rakitic-30, Sergio B-30 Vidal-30 so the midfield is ageing 2.Denis Suarez is leaving Rafinha never get free from injury so I think he also leaving Alena and Samper need time and also still injury free with all these things Rabior is needed Barcelona is a big team that deserve quality players and he one of those

As You Can See Barca Already Have So Many Mid Fielders Like Rakatic,Arthur,Coutinho,Vidal,Busquets,Roberto,Alena Etc......But He's Coming On A Free Transfer So Why Not Maybe They Can Sell Him Next Year Or So.I Mean They Can Get At least 60-80 Million. It's Financially Good Move For Barca.
And If He Does Play Good Than It's Perfect For Barca. But Only Time Will Tell How Successful Is He Gonna Be.

I think Rabiot won't fit in laliga especially Barcelona. FIRST REASON - Laliga and ligue 1 are very different from each other, laliga isn't a farmers leagury. SECOND REASON- Psg and Barça both have very different style of playing. Psg is a couter attacking team whereas Barça is a team that keeps possession, and Rabiot I won't think will be able to cope with the pressure in centre if the park. THIRD REASON- You don't get enough space or room in spain, it's very compact unlike in France where at any moment you'll find only 2 or 3 man in defence and rest all in the attacking third. Rabiot is a player who needs space to give through passes.
So in short Rabiot won't fit in anyway.

it's undeniable fact that Barça has a pool of midfield to choose from on any day but something is gradually missing in this crop of Barça midfield currently none of this midfielders can be a close substitute to busquet position after the departure yaya toure. arguably, Rabiot with his versatility he can be the only midfielder to replace busqets perfectly an he is gradually fading out due to his age and overloading bedding being placed on him.

wait a moment guys we all keep talking about if barca needs him or not what about what's best for the player..... 1) for you to be an excellent player you need to have loads of confidence and he must believe he's or can be better than Rakky, Boussy or viddo to even have a chance of succeeding in the club 2) Does he actually believe he's that good or he shud continue the development process in a club that is guaranteed to play him say arsenal utd even liverpool 3) the opportunity to play for a club like barca comes but once in a lifetime can he afford to miss the train??? say he decided to join liverpool and Arthur becomes soo good barca didn't have a need for him again....
