Football is a constant paradox. There was an air of revolution when Zinedine Zidane returned to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu but, surprisingly, the wind has changed and the atmosphere is more like that of a counter-revolution.
Instead of departures, contract extensions are announced, and the players which the club wants to leave do not want to while those who should not go express their wish to move on. Everything a bit contradictory.
The latest episode is the news that Sergio Ramos wants a change of scenery. 'El Chiringuito' uncovered the story, while Jose Felix Díaz at MARCA revealed the face-to-face meeting with Florentino Perez.
Without knowing details, one can hypothesise, without excessive risk of error, that the captain is letting the president know of his dissatisfaction about the difference in salary he would have with the stars who are about to join Real Madrid.
Sergio Ramos earns 12 million euros net (figures mentioned with caution knowing the lack of transparency and obscurantism that govern world football) and would not be pleased with if Neymar, Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe or Eden Hazard saw their salaries double or triple his.
The club handles this matter delicately, with Gareth Bale said to earn 12 million euros, when it seems he really gets 17 million euros, with the intention of not increasing the discontent of the captain. Does anyone think that Neymar, who gains 37 million euros net, would join Real Madrid for at least 12 million euros? Or that Pogba would want less? Ramos is the first one who thinks not, and that makes him doubt and consider a way out.
Perhaps during the meeting between captain and president at the home of Ramos, the television looped images of Ramos' goal in Lisbon.

The best goalkeeper and RM legend is gone, all time RM top scorer is gone, now Perez will let one of the best defenders in the world and the best RM CB in the last 10 years go? Perez should start paying our players what they deserve, Bale was getting paid money he didn’t deserve, but Ramos is underpaid...

Whatever the case may be all I known is that good players will come to Madrid this year under Zidane n we shall be once more dominant...Hala Madrid!!!
the fact that good players are coming doesn't mean they should treat legends lime shit. look at the case of cassilas, ronaldo and now Ramos (the leader for that matter) it isn't fair. we know its business but mehhnnn Ramos should have a salary increase
