Sergio Romero left Manchester United almost 18 months ago but has now hinted at a potential return.
The Argentinian goalkeeper largely played second fiddle during his six-year stay at Old Trafford. He played just seven Premier League games, with the vast majority of his appearances coming in cup competitions.
The 35-year-old departed United in the summer of 2021 to sign for Italian outfit Venezia and after just one campaign he returned to his native Argentina to sign for Boca Juniors back in August.
Now, a video has emerged of Romero signing autographs outside Old Trafford and he is asked a question by a fan. "Sergio, when are you coming back [to Manchester United]?” the supporter asks. Romero then replies: "Hopefully quick!"
Romero was in attendance for Thursday's Europa League victory over Sheriff Tiraspol and clearly remains a popular figure with a big gathering of fans chasing his signature.
The long-term look of United's goalkeeping department is unclear given David de Gea's contract situation and with Dean Henderson currently out on loan at Nottingham Forest.

Hope its quick indeed, he is such a loyal and faithful player. Selfless and dedicated it's just that he wasn't given enough support to express his talent properly.
