A second-string Sevilla team were defeated 1-0 in Cyprus at the hands of APOEL through a Vujadin Savic goal.
The Spanish side had already secured qualification to the Europa League Round of 32, as they had managed to win all the rest of their group games.
All the action of the match was congested in the second half, where Sevilla missed the chance to take the lead, when substitute Munas Dabbur missed from the spot.
Moments later APOEL were awarded a corner kick and Savic took full advantage of it, planting a header from close range into the back of the net.
Sevilla tried to react in the time remaining, but neither Jose Mena nor Oliver Torres managed to equalise.
Julen Lopetegui's side collected 15 points to top Group A, followed by APOEL who also qualified to the knockout stages with 10 points.
