Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists he is not worried about the form of Marcus Rashford, despite the forward struggling to score from open play this season.
"I don't worry about that, he's getting the chances," the United boss said. "Of course he could have scored three [against Astana], but the goalkeeper made a few fantastic saves.
"We're working every single day in training with Marcus and he wants to improve and he wants to be better. He could have finished with his left foot instead of his right once, but it was just one of those days.
"All the goals we've scored have come from our forwards with Marcus, Anthony [Martial] and Dan James so I'm sure he'll chip in with many, many goals.
"He's still young, he'll improve and you won't hit your peak as a striker until you're 26 or 27. He's still learning what finishes to make in different circumstances.
"I think today's forwards are different from the old, traditional number nines. There's not many left of them and Marcus can play three or four positions."

I see too many negative comments especially some united fans about Rashford..I know they expect more from him and i too expect more from him but he is not a striker for me..His best position is winger and i hope he plays right wing in West Ham game.. Greenwood is a striker material for me..i know may be people disagree with me for saying it but Rashford will improve and he will score goals..He choose to stay even though he got some offers and i respect him for staying and fighting for United..I hope he will improve soon and help us get to top 4..I stand with my player no matter what.. Manchester United till die[Comeon]

solskjaer pls tell them.. aguero gets up to 5 chances before he scores 1 most times but cos the chances keep coming ,he gets his goals. the most important thing is the lad is moving into those positions and will definitely bury some of the ones that come his way.. what I enjoy about him the most is how he moves and allows space for others to operate .. and knowing he has goals in him will only help. United fix the midfield . more chances created rashford and anybody that partners him up front will be fantastic and I hope it's greenwood that partners him.. rashford had a good game yesterday and he was under pressure from the defence for those chances not like he was left all alone.. I wish some of these our fans can stop these negative comments on these hardworking lads just cos they want their Christmas wishes granted. lingard came in and did his bit too... United is not the first big team to have a 1-0 result over a lowly side. it happens all the time with big clubs.. didn't inter end up with a draw after everyone thought they'd ride the game
