The German responded to claims that the depiction looks more like him than the former Man City star
Toni Kroos has poked fun at Sergio Aguero's new statue at the Etihad after social media users were quick to point out the statue's resemblance to the German midfielder.
Aguero's statue was unveiled on Friday onthe 10th anniversary of the Argentine striker’s famous Premier League title-clinching goal against Queens Park Rangers.
But fans were quick to point out that the depiction had a certain resemblance to Kroos, who weighed in himself on Twitter.
Even Kroos himself could not help but say something.
Kroos quote-retweeted a photo of the statue which had been posted by BBC reporter Simon Stone.
Stone had captioned the picture with the words: "Sergio is here."
Kroos comically responded: "Sure?"

People that think the statue doesn't resemble Sergio surely didn't see him 2012. The sculptor used a picture of him 10 years back, so u people should have sense for once🤷🤷
