Todd Boehly is preparing a summer clearout at Chelsea, with a number of players up for sale ahead of next season as the Blues look to trim down their inflated squad
Chelsea could sell as many as 11 players in the summer transfer window as they look to generate funds to spend on more signings ahead of next season. The Blues have spent over £600million under Todd Boehly's co-ownership in the last two transfer windows.
Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga
Edouard Mendy lost his place as Chelsea's No.1 goalkeeper under Potter and has struggled with injuries and poor form after being dropped. The Senegal international could be sold this summer after talks over a new contract have proven to be unsuccessful.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has hardly shown that he deserves to continue as the Blues' starting goalkeeper after errors this season have reiterated that Chelsea need a world-class shot-stopper to come in if they are to challenge for the Premier League title and return to Champions League action. Both Mendy and Kepa could be sold and raise significant funds to invest in a new goalkeeper, with Inter Milan's Andre Onana emerging as a potential target.
Trevoh Chalobah
Trevoh Chalobah has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana this season. Marc Cucurella has also been utilised at centre-back this term, meaning Chalobah has struggled to nail down a starting spot in the team.
The English defender could be moved on this summer as Todd Boehly looks to trim down the squad. The 23-year-old could fetch a fee in the region of £20million which could then be invested elsewhere, especially with Levi Colwill returning from a successful loan spell with Brighton ahead of next season.
Malang Sarr
Malang Sarr has spent the 2022/23 campaign out on loan and does not look like he has a future at Stamford Bridge. When he returns to the Blues, he will likely be way down the pecking order and could leave to play regular football elsewhere.
Tiemoue Bakayoko
A similar case to Sarr. Tiemoue Bakayoko's Chelsea career has gone downhill ever since he arrived from Monaco in 2017.
The Frenchman has been out on loan at AC Milan this season and will return to Cobham this summer with just a year left on his current contract. Bakayoko is likely to be sold on to raise funds to reinvest in the squad.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
football.london understands AC Milan have made contact with Chelsea as they're interested in signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer. The midfielder has proven to be a reliable squad player this term but may want to start a new challenge elsewhere and play more regularly.
Loftus-Cheek attracted interest from the likes of Newcastle and Crystal Palace earlier this season and he will have many suitors this summer.
Conor Gallagher
Conor Gallagher has struggled to prove he deserves a chance to play consistently for Chelsea as a regular starter after impressing at Crystal Palace last season. Liverpool, Newcastle and Palace are all interested in signing the 23-year-old this summer and he may be moved on to help the Blues abide by Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
Mason Mount
Mason Mount's future at Chelsea looks no closer to being resolved as talks over a new contract have stalled. Boehly has attempted to convince the England international to stay at Stamford Bridge and sign a new deal, but interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United could see Mount leave his boyhood club after a difficult season.
The west Londoners would demand a fee in the region of £70million for Mount this summer, with Jurgen Klopp being a huge admirer of the Chelsea star.
Hakim Ziyech
Hakim Ziyech looks set to leave the club after having a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain in January collapse at the 11th hour. The Moroccan winger has played just 20 games for the Blues this term and has fallen out of favour in recent months.
Christian Pulisic
Another attacker on the chopping block this summer is Christian Pulisic. The American wanted to leave Chelsea last summer but ended up staying put after failing to attract any suitors.
Pulisic may finally move on from the Blues ahead of next season after falling down the pecking order. Sterling, Mudryk, Madueke, Kai Havertz and Joao Felix are all considered to be ahead of Pulisic.
The 24-year-old is in a similar position to Ziyech and may look to leave the club in search of regular game time elsewhere.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Arguably the worst transfer Chelsea have made under Boehly's co-ownership. Aubameyang was brought to the club last summer as he reunited with Tuchel in west London.
The Gabonese striker has failed to impress after securing a move to Chelsea and looks destined to leave the club after just a year. Reports have suggested Aubameyang could return to Barcelona on a free transfer as the Blues look to get him off the books and reduce their wage bill.

Yes sell all those overrated players. Mount wants 200 but he’s not even close to Bernardo Silva or debruyn . Connor he’s always running around like a lost dog he’s a mitable team . Loftus he’s a cool guy but he’s too slow for modern error games .
