Gianluigi Buffon's agent, Silvano Martina, has revealed the reason why the Italian international signed for PSG after leaving Juventus. The agent, amongst other things, admitted that PSG were interested in Buffon back in 2009.
Buffon arrived at PSG on a free transfer and penned a one-year deal at the French club. However, Buffon's agent revealed that a move to PSG could've happened a long time ago.
"For them the signing of Buffon was as important as the signing of Neymar. Buffon felt how much they wanted him in their new project and he felt very proud about that. It made him feel 10 years younger," Martina told RMC Sport.
"They offered him a two-year deal but he only wanted to sign a one-year contract. This shows how honest he is. And PSG wanted him back in 2009 too," explained the iconic stopper's agent.
