The transfer market continues along its usual path, albeit not with the same fiscal vigour as in recent years, however Bundesliga clubs have a lot of talent at their disposal and there is incredible value to be had for purchasing clubs.
Leroy Sane may have made his return to the German top flight with Bayern Munich this summer, however there are set to be a number of high-profile exits as clubs turn their focus to preparing for the 2020/21 season.
According to Transfermarkt, here is a list of the most valuable players in the Bundesliga at this moment.
Jadon Sancho
The 20-year old has been a sensation since he arrived from Manchester City, giving Borussia Dortmund the chance to make an incredible profit on a player they signed for a fee of around 11 million euros.
His explosion onto the senior scene has called into question just why Pep Guardiola wasn't willing to give Sancho a chance in his Manchester City team, especially when such wealth was spent on Riyad Mahrez.
Sancho's value now sits at around 117 million euros after a phenomenal season in which he scored 17 goals and contributed 16 assists for Borussia Dortmund in league matches alone.
Overall he has scored 34 goals and contributed 43 assists in his two years in Germany and the summer of 2020 could see him return to England with Manchester United identifying him as their top target.
Kai Havertz
Perhaps the biggest prodigy to come out of Bayer Leverkusen since Michael Ballack, 21-year-old Kai Havertz has been the sensation of the club's 2019/20 season.
Being able to play as a centre-forward or an attacking midfielder, Havertz's qualities are numerous and clear. He has scored 17 goals this season and added four assists in 34 Bundesliga matches.
His value is 81 million euros and a number of clubs are interested in his services, with Chelsea currently leading the queue.
Leroy Sane
After bringing his time with Manchester City to an end, Sane signed for Bayern Munich this July for a fee of around 50 million euros, although his current market value is 80 million euros.
In a deal that will look like a quite unbelievable bargain in the future, the Bavarian club took full advantage of the fact Sane had allowed his contract with the Blues to run right down to its final year, and he made it abundantly clear he wouldn't sign an extension.
Joshua Kimmich
The performance of the German midfielder this season has been brilliant, especially since Hansi Flick took charge at the Allianz Arena.
His value has thus increased to 75 million euros which places him fourth in this list. In his 218 competitive matches for Bayern Munich he has scored 23 goals and contributed 53 assists.
Erling Haaland
The 20-year-old Norwegian international has been the revelation of 2019/20, both with Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund.
His 20 goals and six assists for the Austrian club earned him a January move to the Bundesliga for a fee of 20 million, which Dortmund could quadruple once they sell the forward with his market value now sitting at 72 million euros.
His goalscoring exploits carried over to Germany where he netted 24 times in 24 matches, including two sensational strikes against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
